Day 10 was a wrap to the program. It has been a great two weeks. The students were all patient and willing to learn. Hopefully we have all got a different take on culture and how we play into it. Thank you all. All the best for the upcoming school years. Continue reading
Day 9 students learned the four seasons and what season they were born in. Practiced Chinese painting on second piece of fabric and when they were ready began to paint the drawings onto the fabric bag. Students were then asked to think of a Chinese word that they would like to write on the back or front of the bag.
Day 8 greetings. We began by brainstorming Chinese words that the students would like to have put on the back of their bags. We then completed the Chinese dragonfly made using two pieces of string. Students continued to practice the Chinese painting that they would like to have put on their fabric bags tomorrow.
Day 7 greetings. Mounted the Chinese painting and finished designing the puppets. Chinese discussion on dreams and likes. What sports students like and what they dream to be when they grow up. Began the project on the fabric bag which will include a painting of either a snake, dragon or bunny.
