The homework for this week on November 26 is to write down two poems of Tang dynasty, “Sòng mèng hào rán zhī guǎng líng” & “Wèi chéng qǔ ”. You will get bonus if you draw pictures for explaining the poems. Please hand in your hand writing assignment to the teacher next class on December 3. 

According to the YRDSB policy, oral ability is 60%, reading and writing abilities are 40% in total for grade 7 students. Regarding the mid-term assessment, here are the score statistics for the class.

Please write down the ways of how you memorize the top difficult word. For example, if you were trying to memorize the word food, you memorize them by relating pictures. I will be more than happy to see the creativity from all of you. The homework should be handed in next week on November 26.

本周回家作業共有兩項。第一、請儘量運用第三課學過的字彙，以手寫方式寫成一篇一百字以內的短文，並在運用的字彙下方劃線，請記得短文要定題目、分段，在作業上寫上自己的名字，請在下一次上課時（十一月十九日）交給老師；第二、請到銘華中文學校網站（http://blog2.huayuworld.org/minghua/），點選Quizlet第七冊第一課、第二課和第三課複習。 

下周（十一月十九日）要舉行期中測驗，共分聽、說、讀、寫等四大部分。測驗時間從上午9:30到12:00，中間有15分鐘休息時間；第一部分為聽力測驗，採現場播放錄音方式測試聽力，請同學於考試當天務必準時於9:30前到達；測試當天請攜帶漢英字典和彩色筆，測驗時可以使用字典，但不允許使用手機和網路等資源。

There are two assignments for this week. First, please write an article (around 100 words) by APPLYING the vocabulary that you have learnt from lesson 3 as many as you can. Please have a topic, separate paragraphs, your name on it, and make sure it makes sense. In addition, please underline all the vocabulary that you apply in your article. The article is due next week. (November 19^th) Secondly, please visit Minghua mandarin school’s website （http://blog2.huayuworld.org/minghua/) and click Quizlet, volume 7, lesson 1~3 for reviewing. 

The mid-term assessment will be held next week (November 19). There are four sections including listening, speaking, reading and writing. The mid-term assessment will be starting at 9:30 am with a video listening, followed by reading, speaking and writing until 12:00 pm. Recess is from 10:30 am to 10:45 am. Please be on time next week at 9:30 pm for the assessment. Please bring crayon and dictionary. You can use a dictionary during the assessment, but cell phone, internet, Google translate etc. are not allowed at any time during the assessment.

本周回家作業要練唱中文歌曲「你怎麼說」（歌詞在此你怎麼說 lyrics），請參考網站https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug_thqI47xk，請在十日（周四）之前，以電子郵件寄給老師。

用Vocaroo錄音的步驟如下：

到網站http://vocaroo.com/；

按Click to record；

根據視窗顯示按左鍵「允許」後開始錄音；

錄完時Click to Stop，畫面會出現Retry和Listen；

按下Listen可以聽一下剛才自己錄製的聲音，如果不滿意可以按Retry；

如果滿意請按Click here to save；

可以看到Sharing to options，再按下email；

輸入電郵地址：gotrainset@hotmail.com；

所錄製的聲音，即可寄給老師。

Here are the steps. 

Please go to the website http://vocaroo.com.

Click “Click to record”.

Click the box of 「允許」on the left of the pop window to start recording.

After you finish recording, click “Click to stop”, it will show “Retry” & “Listen”.

You may click “Listen” to review your recording. If you don’t like it, click “Retry”.

If you are OK with your recording, click “Click here to save”.

You will see “Sharing to options”, and then click “email” on the right box.
