{"id":2,"date":"1990-08-01T01:00:05","date_gmt":"1990-08-01T08:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog2.huayuworld.org\/corvalliscs\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2025-02-11T21:18:29","modified_gmt":"2025-02-12T05:18:29","slug":"sample-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blog2.huayuworld.org\/corvalliscs\/sample-page\/","title":{"rendered":"About Our School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog2.huayuworld.org\/corvalliscs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/461\/1990\/08\/Corvallis-Chinese-School.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1453\" src=\"http:\/\/blog2.huayuworld.org\/corvalliscs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/461\/1990\/08\/Corvallis-Chinese-School.gif\" alt=\"Corvallis Chinese School\" width=\"448\" height=\"39\" \/><\/a>Corvallis Chinese School (CCS) was founded in 1990 as a non-for-profit organiation by a group of OSU graduate students from Taiwan.\u00a0 Many of those graduate students have children and realized the importance of multilingual education.\u00a0 The existence of CCS provided a place where children can get together with their peers to learn Chinese and socialize with each others.\u00a0 As the composition of student population changed, the simple need of language learning also changed accordingly.\u00a0 Today, after 26 years\u2019 of continuous growing with the community, the Corvallis Chinese School has evolved from a pure language teaching service organization to a more cultural diversified learning organization.\u00a0 \u00a0Currently, the Corvallis Chinese School has 7 teachers and 30 students.\u00a0 Among all the students, 60% are from Taiwan, 15% from China, 13% are from Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, and the rest of 12% are from USA and the rest of the world.\u00a0 The CCS offers 4 classes which include three elementary school level classes, 1 middle school level classes, one high school level class, and one adult language class.\u00a0 A two hour lessons, every Friday from 3;00 PM to 5:00 PM, are offered ten times every quarter during the regular school year.\u00a0 No classes are offered during summer in order to accommodate most family\u2019s summer schedule. \u00a0In additional to the regular language classes, the school also offers teacher training, SAT simulation test, special Chinese holiday festival culture events, and student graduation parties. Currently, the school is managed by the school board composed of 5 board members.\u00a0 The board members are elected by the parents every two years.\u00a0 The board members also fulfill the school daily operation needs by serving as principal, vice principal\/treasurer, office clerk, general affairs leader and the librarian.\u00a0 The text books used in the classes are provided by the Oversea Chinese Affairs Commission.\u00a0 The teaching materials are tailored and compiled by each teacher according to the specific need of their classes.\u00a0 The school is funded by charging nominal tuition and fees.\u00a0 The current fee schedule is $100 for each quarter (ten 2 hours\u2019 lessons).\u00a0 The fund is used for renting the classroom and teacher\u2019s teaching material.<\/p>\n<p>\u8c37\u5fc3\u4e2d\u6587\u5b78\u6821Corvallis Chinese School<\/p>\n<p>\u5efa\u6821\u6b77\u53f2:\u8a72\u6821\u5275\u7acb\u65bc\u4e00\u4e5d\u4e5dO\u5e74\u516b\u6708\uff0c\u7531\u4e00\u7fa4\u4f86\u81ea\u53f0\u7063\uff0c\u71b1\u5fc3\u8207\u95dc\u61f7\u5b50\u5973\u4e2d\u6587\u6559\u80b2\u7684\u7236\u6bcd\u6240\u5275\u7acb\uff0c\u4e26\u5411\u5967\u745e\u5d17\u653f\u5e9c\u767b\u8a18\u7684\u975e\u71df\u5229\u7d44\u7e54\u3002\u5967\u745e\u5d17\u5dde\u662f\u7531\u5370\u5730\u5b89\u8a9e\u5b9a\u540d\uff0c\u610f\u601d\u662fHeart of Valley\uff0c\u6240\u4ee5\u4e2d\u6587\u5b78\u6821\u9078\u5176\u5730\u9ede\u610f\u7fa9\u4f86\u547d\u540d\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u5b78\u6821\u7d44\u7e54:\u672c\u6821\u8a2d\u6709\u7406\u4e8b\u6703\uff0c\u5236\u5b9a\u5b78\u6821\u6559\u80b2\u65b9\u91dd\uff0c\u6559\u5e2b\u9074\u9078\u53ca\u6559\u6750\u5be9\u6838\u3002\u7406\u4e8b\u70ba\u7fa9\u52d9\u8077\u7531\u5bb6\u9577\u5011\u63a8\u9078\u7522\u751f\uff0c\u4efb\u8077\u5169\u5e74\u3002\u7406\u4e8b\u6703\u73fe\u6709\u7406\u4e8b5\u540d\u3002\u672c\u6821\u884c\u653f\u5efa\u5236\u4e0a\u8a2d\u6709\u6821\u9577\u3001\u8ca1\u52d9\u3001\u6559\u52d9\u3002\u6559\u5b78\u8cc7\u6e90:\u5b78\u6821\u63a1\u7528\u50d1\u52d9\u59d4\u54e1\u6703\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e4b\u6559\u6750\u53ca\u8001\u5e2b\u81ea\u884c\u7de8\u5370\u7684\u88dc\u5145\u6559\u6750\u3002\u5c11\u6578\u5b78\u751f\u5bb6\u9577\u4e26\u5b9a\u671f\u7531\u53f0\u7063\u651c\u5e36\u65b0\u7684\u7d20\u6750\u3002\u5b78\u8853\u6d3b\u52d5:\u6bcf\u5e74\u8209\u8fa6\u6559\u5e2b\u57f9\u8a13\u3001\u6625\u7bc0\u6587\u85dd\u6176\u795d\u6d3b\u52d5\uff0cSAT\u2161\u00a0\u6a21\u64ec\u8003\u8a66\u53ca\u7d50\u696d\u6210\u679c\u540c\u6a02\u6703\u3002\u73ed\u7d1a\u73fe\u6cc1:\u8c37\u5fc3\u4e2d\u6587\u5b78\u6821\u73fe\u6709\u6559\u5e2b\u4e09\u4eba\uff0c\u4ee3\u8ab2\u8001\u5e2b\u4e94\u4eba\u3002\u5b78\u751f\u7d04\u4e09\u5341\u4eba\uff0c\u521d\u7d1a\u4e00\u73ed\uff0c\u4e2d\u7d1a\u5b78\u4e00\u73ed\uff0c\u9ad8\u7d1a\u4e00\u73ed\uff0c\u5b78\u751f\u6210\u54e1\u4e2d\u4f86\u81ea\u53f0\u7063\u7d04\u4f5462\uff05\u5927\u9678\u7d04\u4f5413\uff05\u00a0\u9999\u6e2f\u53ca\u6771\u5357\u4e9e\u7d04\u4f5413 \uff05\u5176\u4ed6\u5730\u5340\u7d04\u4f5411\uff05\uff0c\u6bcf\u5e74\u52063\u500b\u5b78\u671f50\u6bcf\u5b78\u671f\u670910\u6b21\u8ab2\u7a0b\uff0c\u6bcf\u7bc0\u8ab260 &amp;
