Follow these steps!<\/p>\n<p>Step 1: Open Settings<br \/>\nClick the time in the bottom-right corner of your screen.<br \/>\nThen click the Settings \u2699\ufe0f icon.<\/p>\n<p>Step 2: Add Chinese as an Input Language<br \/>\nIn Settings:<br \/>\n1. Click Device.<br \/>\n2. Click Keyboard.<br \/>\n3. Find Input methods.<br \/>\n4. Click Add input methods.<br \/>\n5. Find and select Chinese (Simplified) \u2013 Pinyin.<\/p>\n<p>Step 3: Switch to Chinese Pinyin<br \/>\nWhen you want to type Chinese:<br \/>\nPress: Ctrl + Space<br \/>\nThis switches between English and Chinese input.<br \/>\nYou can also click the language\/input icon near the clock and choose Chinese \u2013 Pinyin.<\/p>\n<p>Step 4: Start Typing Chinese<br \/>\nNow type the Pinyin for the Chinese word.<br \/>\nFor example:<br \/>\n\u2022 Type nihao \u2192 \u4f60\u597d<br \/>\n\u2022 Type xuesheng \u2192 \u5b66\u751f<br \/>\nUse the number keys or click the correct Chinese character to choose the character you want.<\/p>\n<p>Step 5: Try It!<br \/>\nOpen a Google Doc and type:<br \/>\n\u4f60\u597d\uff01\u6211\u662f\u4e2d\u6587\u5b66\u751f\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Now you can type Chinese on your Chromebook!<br \/>\nRemember<br \/>\nPinyin \u2192 Choose the character \u2192 Keep typing!<br \/>\nIf you accidentally switch back to English, press Ctrl + Space again.<!--more--><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click the status area in the bottom-right of your desktop.
