國立中正大學中文系與台文所合聘教授－江寶釵老師在中華函授學校民間故事選讀同步互動課程中講授「女扮男裝」的故事類型：《花木蘭》。
〈木蘭辭〉故事結束後的最後一句，舉出雄兔腳步跳躍，雌兔目光模糊，但是兩隻兔子一起跑的時候，怎麼能分辨哪隻是雄、哪隻是雌呢？這裡有一種男女氣概的展現表達不僅只有男子才有力量，女子同樣擁有與男子匹敵的才能，可以說是「巾幗不讓鬚眉」。且透過迪士尼（Disney）的重新詮釋，《花木蘭》這部動畫大獲成功，各地的好評不斷，也贏得許多國際獎項，經由迪士尼製片團隊的巧思，讓古代女子代父從軍的故事變得無人不知、無人不曉。
