\n Hanzi Character and Culture Festival is an annual event organized by QTeachers (Queensland Mandarin Teachers\u2019 Association), supported by OCAC (Overseas Community Affairs Council, Taiwan R.O.C.), the Queensland Taiwan Centre, Mandarin AHES Schools and the broader community. The purpose of this event is to provide the opportunities for the community to experience and appreciate of the beauty of \u201cHanzi\u201d- the Traditional Chinese character and the culture. The aims of the contests are to promote the learning of traditional Chinese language, to give learners the opportunity to express their ideas, display their language skills, gain confidence in using the language, and to appreciate traditional and contemporary Chinese culture as well as getting to know Taiwan, a modern, dynamic and friendly society where the ancient and modern, traditional and new are seamlessly woven together.
