Dear students, 

Lesson 13 focuses on how to give direction and being able to identify locations and relationships between objects or locations. Please follow the instructions below to practice and complete the homework. If you have questions, you can always refer back to the textbook or bring the questions to the class.

Can do Statement:

After completing the Lesson,

• I can say at least 5 locations using north 北, south 南, east 西, west 東 . 
• I can say at least 5 locations using in front of 前面, behind 後面, next to 旁邊 and between中間 to indicate relevant locations.
• I can write at least 3 short sentences indicate locations using  north 北, south 南, east 西, west 東.
• I can write at least 3 short sentences using in front of 前面, behind 後面, next to 旁邊 and between中間 to show the relevant locations.
• I can understand when people ask me for directions of locations and give them directions using north 北, south 南, east 西, west 東, in front of 前面, behind 後面, next to 旁邊 and between中間.

• 公共汽車站在哪兒?

公共汽車站 在 飛機場 的 東邊 。gōnggòng qìchē zhàn zài fēijī chǎng de dōngbiān

• 飛機場在哪兒?

 

飛機場 在 公共汽車站 的 西邊 。 fēijī chǎng zài gōnggòng qìchē zhàn de xī biān

作業zuòyè (Homework)

1. 運用上面的句型看著下面的圖片，寫出三個句子並用 Vacaroo錄音。請將句子與你的錄音連結貼在下面的留言處 (作業收件截止時間為七月十八日 晚上十點前)。

Use the sentence structure that you have learned above to create your own sentences based on the picture provided below. Type your sentences in Chinese and record them through Vacaroo.  Post your sentences and your Vacaroo recording link in the comment section below.  (Deadline 7/18 10:00pm)

2.  請看下面這張地圖，聽錄音檔的題目，想像你正在回答一位朋友的問題，面對攝影機錄下你的回答，錄好的影像檔請上傳至CHIN123 Direction recording 01的Google 線上文件夾內。(作業收件截止時間時間為七月三十日晚上十點)

Look at the map below. You are going to listen to the recorded questions and answer the questions in complete sentences in Chinese by doing a video recording as you were in a conversation with a friend. Don’t forget to look at the camera as much as you could. Submit your video recording to CHIN123 Direction recording 01 (Google Drive). Please double check your video recording to make sure that the sound is clear before uploading it to the drive. ( Deadline: 7/30 10pm)
