Chinese idiom “百善孝為先” (bái shàn xiào wéi  xiān) Filial piety is the most important of all virtues . The character “孝” includes two parts: the upper  耂 means old; the bottom 子 means child. When parents are getting old, child is growing strong to hold them or carry them on the back. This is a kind of feedback from young generation. We say it is “孝” .
