2013 Chinese Culture Youth Summer Camp Registration Information
The
annual Chinese youth summer camp has been the major event of the Association of
Chinese Language Schools. Not only the
program is diverse and entertaining, it is also very educational. The organizer’s goal is to immerse campers in
the team environment to learn Chinese Culture.
Instructors will be selected and sent by the Overseas Chinese Affairs
Council (OCAC) of the Republic of China (ROC) in Taiwan. Activities include Chinese folk art, Chinese
folk sport, Chinese folk dance, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese painting,
etc. Organizers also encourage older
students to enroll as camp counselors.
Please contact event directors for more detail information. Volunteer parents are welcome. Please make a note on the registration form. Organizers will contact you for your help.

2012 Chinese Culture Youth Summer Camp
暑期盛宴—2012年大波特蘭地區青少年中華文化夏令營紀實
由大波特蘭華文學校聯誼會主辦，僑委會協辦的“2012年大波特蘭地區青少年中華文化夏令營，自七月二十三日至二十七日假Lake Oswego Jr. High School舉辦，來自奧勒岡州各中文學校，年齡介於六歲到十四歲近四十位學生參加為期五天的夏令營。
以波特蘭中文學校為主軸的夏令營，在工作人員的規劃及籌備下順利開營。主辦單位設計出不同類型與級別的文化課程，內容包括中國國畫、書法、臉譜藝術、手工藝摺紙、剪紙、民俗舞蹈、扯鈴、踢毽子等課程，希望學員能夠在有限的研習期間內，透過這些多元且豐富的研習活動，了解中華文化精髓與內涵；同時為了提供學員學習團體互助的精神，亦精選出十六位輔導員，帶領學員一起體驗團體營隊的生活。今年的課程除了兩位由中華民國僑委會特別遴選的舞蹈老師鄒航琳和 扯鈴老師鄭碧華外，並邀請了谷心中文學校的資深國畫、書法美術老師陸璋及波特蘭中文學校多年鑽研手工藝術的薛映老師共同教學。
七月二十三日學員陸續報到後即與輔導員的大哥哥與大姐姐們打成一片。每天晨間由輔導員帶領團康活動拉開精彩序幕。 連續五天緊湊又豐富有趣的研習活動課程， 在文化老師們的帶領下學員們不但創造出不同的藝術作品，也伴隨著音樂的律動拉扯鈴、跳繩和踢毽子來體驗中華民俗技藝的樂趣。
營隊於七月二十七日舉行結業式並舉辦「結業成果展」向家長呈現了學員於五天中所學的扯铃、舞蹈及踢毽子技巧和學生親手所作的美工作品。整個展覽廳成品琳琅滿目，連教授手工藝的老師都連連稱讚波特蘭地區營隊小朋友的成就！各隊精彩的民俗舞蹈、 扯鈴及踢毽子表演均博得滿堂掌聲，尤其是壓軸的波特蘭中文學校扯鈴義工青年隊的表演更是精彩萬分。
大波特蘭華文學校聯誼會夏令營召集人胡敏嘉老師，特別準備了四份具有奧勒岡州特色的禮物和感謝狀給勞苦功高的老師們。她把活動的圓滿與成功歸功於參與營隊義工的無間合作。學員、輔導員和義工們都因參與這項活動而在記憶的深處留下珍貴的屝頁。僑委會西雅圖華僑文教服務中心尤正才主任及僑務促進委員，前西北區華文學校聯誼會會長劉政賢委員，都專程從西雅圖帶來祝賀之意並觀賞結業成果展。 (more…)
