2015 Spring Holiday Season Celebration News
Dear family and friends,
Happy New Year! In celebration of the Lunar Spring Holiday season the Corvallis Chinese School will be celebrating this event on evening of Saturday Feb. 21, 2015 (from 5-8pm).
Event details:
Time: Feb. 21st from 5-8pm.
Location: Ronnenkamp Hall, Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 435 NW 21h ST. Corvallis, OR. (Corvallis Chinese School location).
Cost: $5 per person (age 4 and under free admission).
We will be serving delicious food with performances and games. We look forward to seeing you, your friends and family in celebration of this occasion. Please R.S.V.P by e-mail before Feb. 14, 2015 so we can plan the food and games portion of the night.

The Corvallis Chinese School Hua Hua Fun’s class celebrated the end of the school year with a hands-on Mochi making experience. Students were guided through the mochi making from start to finish from the raw rice product into the shape and form of what we have come to love, Mochi

“馬”不停蹄–教育不打烊–聯歡活動
親愛的家長們：
為了迎接建國一百零三年的春節，經由中文學校, 婦女會,同學會開會決定在2014年 2月1日星期六，假谷心中文學校現校址The First Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church 舉辦“馬”年春節聯歡活動，希望藉由不同教學方式和慶祝活動，激發孩子們學習中文的興趣，了解中華文化, 凝聚海外華人向心力, 化零頭為整數。由於場地人數的限制,請上網登記,額滿為止；期盼你的熱心參與,如有任何寶貴意見，歡迎與我們聯絡。
New Year’s Party date: Saturday February 1, 2014

Location of Party: The First Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church

Host: Corvallis Chinese School
Sponsors: Taiwanese Student Association, Taiwanese Ladies Club
The Corvallis Chinese School is inviting friends, families and new faces for a get together potluck celebration for Chinese New Year. This event will be incorporating various activities for students to engage with Chinese culture and also for friends in the community to come together and celebrate the merriment of the year of the horse.
The room we have booked for the event needs a count of number of people in attendance so we ask for attendees to go online to the following link, to register their attendance.
For the potluck portion of the evening we ask each group of attendees to bring a festive dish. Each dish should have at least 10 portions in order to accommodate those numbers of people in attendance. A simple label of ingredient would be helpful for those with food allergies. Thanks in advance! The Corvallis Chinese School will be providing soft drinks, noodles, rice and fruit.
