Lesson Plan:

Class Structure:
Students will develop basic Chinese listening, speaking, and reading skills while exploring Chinese culture through songs, stories, multimedia, crafts, games, and hands-on activities. Basic American Sign Language (ASL) will also be used to reinforce Chinese vocabulary. Students will experience approximately 30 minutes of Chinese language and cultural immersion each class. Cultural activities may include Lion Dance and Flag Dance performances at school and community events.

Homework:
No required homework. Lesson materials, videos, and audio files will be available through Google sheets for review and practice.

Class Review:
Photos and selected classroom activities and performances will be shared on Google sheets throughout the school year for students and parents to review.

Textbooks:
Living Mandarin Kindergarten will serve as the foundation, supplemented with materials from Ni Hao, Better Chinese, and teacher-created resources.
