漢字的故事

  The Story of Chinese Character :我 

我 is composed of 手(hand) and 戈(dagger), represents someone holding a dagger to protect himself, fight for his own survival, so 我 means me.

The Story of Chinese Character : 愛 

 

「愛」字由「受」字(一手持物交予另一手的象形)和「心」字組成，而心則在兩手之間。­「愛」描繪出某人將心交給另一人之情形，此行為就是愛。
在簡體中文，愛被寫成「爱」，愛侣無心可交。無心焉有愛？

愛 is composed of 受(the picture of one hand handing over something to another hand)and 心(heart) while the heart stays between two hands. 愛 depicts someone giving his heart to another one, such behavior means love. Now in simplified Chinese, love is written as 爱, which has no 心(heart) between two lover's hands. Without heart, can we still call it love?

The Story of Chinese Character : 音(漢字的故事 : 音)

音 depicts a hanged man and he is screaming. When somebody is hanged, he will produces painful(辛) sound through his mouth(曰).

 The Story of Chinese Character : 好(漢字的故事 : 好) 

好 depicts a woman(女) staying with her baby(子). In Chinese tradition, it was good for a woman when she had a bady, it was also good for a baby when it stayed with its mother.

The Story of Chinese Character :長

長 depicts a man with very long hair. In addition, when a child grows up, his body will become longer, so 身 also means growth.

The Story of Chinese Character :的 

的 depicts a bow and an arrow, and the arrowhead is aiming at a target. Now the picture of bow and arrow has been symbolized to 勺, while the target has became 白, the original shape of 的 has lost, it is so ridiculous that some academics still use such two characters to explain 的. Nevertheless, now 的 still retains its original meaning, means target.
Since the meaning of 的 implies 'going to somewhere', 的 is also used as article, like 之.

　寫作練習：我的愛好

可先用六何法來寫一寫的︰

我喜歡看書，不論童話書、歷史故事或是小說，我都喜歡。空閒時，我會從書櫃找一本喜歡的書，隨便找個地方坐，就開始享受閱讀之樂。

每天晚上睡覺前，我都要看故事書，不看個十分鐘是睡不著的；有時睡不著，我也會爬起來看書，看啊看的，不知不覺就想睡了呢！因為看書，讓我的國文程度進步了。

我喜歡在周休二日下午騎腳踏車，邊騎著腳踏車，嘴裡邊哼著歌，盡情享受迎風的快樂。尤其月考前壓力太大，我會在書讀得差不多時，騎著腳踏車到處玩，讓壓力獲得釋放。騎腳踏車不但可以紓解壓力，也可以讓我放鬆心情，身體更健康。

小時候的我，常常拿紙張胡亂塗鴉，媽媽見我十分喜歡畫圖，就幫我報名上畫畫課。原本我只是興趣，但畫著畫著，興趣成了專長，所以老師和媽媽幫我報名參加畫圖比賽，每次只要得獎了，我都會興奮得手舞足蹈，更增添信心。

現在，畫畫不但是我的專長和興趣，更是我的心情寫照，不管傷心、難過、快樂或生氣的時候，我都會將心情畫在紙上，畫畫能讓我發洩情緒，我喜歡！
