East meets west: Chinese your way (July 9th)
Wednesday July 9- Day three we took the laminated Chinese names and the students each made their own Chinese knot using two strings and interweaving them together. A powerpoint presentation of basic greetings was introduced as well as numbers. This was reviewed on a basic worksheet and again through a number song that students listened to. We then played a game called “Da Feng Chuei: Big wind blows” and “rock paper scissors.” The remainder of the class we began working on the lid of an origami box which will be completed at the beginning of the next class session.
