參觀新房子Visiting Someone’s House

王太太：今天特別來參觀你的新房子。

Mrs. Wang :         I came to see your new house today.

李太太：我給您介紹一下， 看看我布置的好不好？

Mrs. Lee :            I’ll give you a tour to show how I decorated it.

王太太：浴室的浴缸、馬桶和洗臉台都很美觀大方。

Mrs. Wang :        The bathtub, toilet and wash basin in the bathroom are very nice.

李太太：臥室的床、梳妝檯和衣櫃都是我親手設計的。

Mrs. Lee :           I designed the bed, the vanity and the closet myself.

王太太：你設計得真好，看起來非常舒服。

Mrs. Wang :        You have decorated the place very well.  It looks really comfortable.

李太太：謝謝，你太客氣了。

Mrs. Lee :          Thanks.   You flattered me.

王太太：我可是實話實說，說的都是真心話。

Mrs. Wang :      I’m telling the truth, and that is what I really think.

李太太：我們到客廳喝杯茶，吃些點心吧。

Mrs. Lee :            Let’s go to the living room.  We can have a cup of tea and some snacks.

過新年Chinese New Year

新年時，中國城裡有舞龍舞獅的表演。

In this Chinese New Year, there will be a dragon and lion dance in Chinatown.

我們帶孩子們去看熱鬧吧。

Let’s take the children to see the performance.

裝壓歲前的紅包袋，準備好了嗎？

Have you prepared the red envelopes for New Year’s money yet?

早就買好了。記得打電話向爸媽拜年。

I bought them a long time ago.  Remember to call Dad and Mom to offer New Year greetings.

今年應該是龍年吧？

This year should be the year of Dragon, right?

沒錯，按照十二生肖的順序，應該是龍年。

Right. According to the order of the 12 animals of the zodiac, it should be the year of the dragon.

據說，龍年會是吉祥的一年。

It is said that the year of the dragon is full of good luck.

新年新希望，我希望新的一年能萬事如意。

I really hope that during this New Year all our wishes can come true.

發成績單Getting Your Report Card

看你走來走去的，你怎麼啦？

Look at you walking around, what’s the matter with you?

哎，好緊張哦。 Oh, so nervous.

什麼事這麼緊張。 What’s so stressful.

要發成績單了。 We’re getting our report cards today （Reports to be issued. ）

原來要發成績單了！

Turns out it’s time for a report card!

你怎麼還笑的出來？

Why are you still smiling?

你的成績一向那麼好，擔心不及格是多餘的。
Your grades have been so good that it is unnecessary to worry about failing.

我父親說，如果成績好， 就給我買一個手機。

My father said, if my grades were good, he’d buy me a cell phone.

我還是很緊張。 I’m still nervous.

為什麼呢？ 我知道了，你是擔心拿不到手機。

why? I get it, you’re worried about not getting your phone.

是啊！ yes!

先恭喜你了，你的手機一定會拿到手的。

Congratulations, you will definitely get your phone.

我可不敢想， 我希望化學能及格。

I can’t think of it; I want to pass the chemistry.

你不會不及格的，頂多分數低一點兒。

There’s no way that you can fail. At worst, your grades.

經過這一次的教訓，我以後會更加用功。

This is a lesson for myself.  I will study much harder next time.

最近在忙些什麼呢？What are you busy with recently?

期末考試快到了，我都在溫習功課。Final exam are approaching, and I am reviewing my lessons.

你那麼用功， 期末考一定沒有問題。If you work so hard, there will be no problem in the final exam.

那可不一定哦。 Not for certain..

應該準備得差不多了吧。You should prepare almost ready.

我每天都開夜車苦讀。I am staying up late and studying hard every day.

熬夜最傷身體了，千萬別過度用功。Staying up all night hurts the body the most, so be sure don’t overwork yourself.

哎！ 我是平時不用功，臨時抱佛腳了。I don’t usually study this heart. Only when it is close to exams.

盡力就好，不要太緊張。Just do your best, don’t get too nervous.

這次考試，你總共考幾科呢？How many subjects do you have to take this time?

四科，有的科目只要繳讀書報告就可以了。Four in some courses, for some subjects, you only need to submit a study report.

繳讀書報告.  對你而言太簡單了。Submit your book report. It’s too easy for you.

那你還緊張什麼？ 心情放輕鬆點。Then what are you nervous about? Take it easy.

快要考試了，心情怎麼可能輕鬆呢？The exam is coming, how can you feel relaxed?  how could I relax
